I pick wild phenomena and slip them in my work.

I am infected with rhythms, harmonies, mirrors, and inevitabilities.

I am proud to have made everything here with my own hands. Recently I have learned that how I floss in the spaces between my teeth is the same as how I polish a porcelain rivet. They have always been the same thing.

Historically speaking...
January 2026: My name is Hanji Xu. As of now, I am learning techniques, experimenting with materials, and capturing observed natural organization and analogies in these.
Resource is still essential to my practice.
December 2025: I am exploring what art means in design. I experiment towards a future beyond the minimal and the kitsch. The bottom line is—it has to be beautiful.
I have worked with wood, metal, silicone, bio-plastics, and glass.
I have a record of resource-conscious designs.
